Traditionally, tinsel is not thought of as something for your hair. But stylist Marissa Belz at Solstice Salon offers a new spin on this season’s hottest hair garnish. Hair Candy is subtle, but makes that sparkly statement – perfect for the holidays and beyond. With the average Hair Candy lasting 4-6 weeks, this will take you well into 2010. With statement accessories being all the rage, treat yourself to a fabulous cocktail ring. My current faves are Michelle Lenae (Kelly….there should be an apostrophe over first e in Lenae) and Alexis Bittar. Bittar rings have an interesting architectural element to them, using mixed gems with lucite, Swarovski crystals, brass and chain – all used in unexpected ways. Gift yourself something that gives back.
