It was great growing up with an identical twin sister. It was like having two wardrobes at our disposal at any given time, with only mild differences in style and shoe choice. But at the semi-annual My Sister’s Closet consignment sale, held October 24th-26th, I felt the acute pangs of closet jealousy. This wasn’t a collection of discarded and long-forgotten items, but a sea of coveted bags, shoes, home décor and clothing recently relinquished from the homes of our fellow Dallas divas, tagged and racked for a fraction of the retail price. Chanel bags, fur coats and a slew of Fortune Denim inventory combined with vendor booths offering anything from sensuous Scentsy wickless candles to Xocai Healthy Chocolate bars made for quite a good shopping day. Bonus: All prices are cut in half on the last day of shopping.
If you missed this event, don’t worry. You still have plenty of time to register your items and save up your shopping chi for the Spring 2010 sale—we’ll keep you posted.
